I am very sorry to tell all of you this but Meritt Island is officically closed. There are no ducks in Meritt Island as they all have been warned that if they show up they will be killed...

All roadays have been demolished so you dont even need to think about your boat, all lanes of travel will be blocked from the Coast Gaurd station to hull over by the national Gaurd.... and besides...there are no ducks there but a few wintering grebes and moskovies...

Sorry guys someone lied to you'al .... Better head to J-ville !

I've already taken time off of work for two separate MI hunts, so looks like the grebes and muscovies better duck and cover. :dv

The impondments are dry too. After the last storms some nimrod opened the flood gates and forgot to close em.

Good luck to you too, Fool. And guys, I may be four hours away, but I've got scouts all over, so nice try with your warnings. :fp I'm really hoping to get some good, up-close footage of our hunts this year. The past few have been over so quickly, hardly had time to fire up the camera :dv

Why would you want to film a 100 weekend warriors?...You know these days, their gonna be closer to the camera than the ducks.

I've heard that complaint, but strangely enough, never had that problem personally. I only get to hunt MI about 4 days a year, and usually at some prime times, and I've never had as much trouble as I have on the lakes around Tallahassee.
