Lots of new geese up here, not many new ducks in my location. Young man (14) hunting with us this morning shot his first banded goose. Banded up in ONT. this spring.Shot a Horicon band last Sunday.

Seems like the geese left here a couple weeks ago..around week 8 or 9 when we were at football practice there were geese flying all over. I took a drive after school tonight and didn't see a goose around...kinda strange. Heard reports of new birds in the area...some of them won't be leaving...too bad I have to teach tomorrow.

New birds arrived in the south central zone yesterday and made it a good veteran's day!

Crunched the ducks yesterday! 4 guns and 24 ducks by 8am. New ducks were def riding the wind. Was one of those days you could have piled them up all day long.

Massive migration of single and pairs of seagulls headed down the IL river by Pekin today:dv:dv

On a more serious note I watched quite a few small groups of Canada's come down the river yesterday afternoon. I've seen more ducks and geese milling about today near work than I've seen all season
