    Hatchet was one of the underrated power bands of the 80s. Pigeonholed into Southern Rock, when they were so much more.

    Just one more morning I have to wake up with the blues
    Pulled myself outa bed yeah, pulled on my walking shoes
    Climbed up on the hilltop baby, to see what I could see

    That's pretty awesome. I saw Molly Hatchet at Mankato State University back in 1980. Isn't the cover art done by Frank Frazetti? I didn't know he did sculpture too. Very cool. :tu

    I always liked the Beatin’ the Odds and the Molly Hatchet covers the best.

    Watching the video above got me thinking about other guitar bands of the time. Wishbone Ash, Atomic Rooster, The Groundhogs...could go on and on.

    I dont recall them coming to town,.. But Im sure my brother went

    It took me 11 years to graduate from there too many ducks to kill, fish to catch, nails to pound and muskrat beaver mink and fox to trap.
