Main migration in North Dakota? Very doubtful theres a snow line stopping them jmho. You will be just fine in mound city this week and weekend.

I don't know I see a straight shot into ND and honestly Canada by the end of the week if the weather holds. 50's in Aberdeen right now, 60's by mid week. I guess if I was a betting man I would say the leading edge will be around I-94 by the weekend.

We've been hunting snow in SW IA since 2001 and we always plan for being there a few days before and a few days after the 15th of March. On average we do pretty well around those dates so why is it everyone all of a sudden thinks these geese are way behind schedule and need to be farther north by now ?

Whenever some migration happens and the weather looks nice for a few days everyone thinks the geese will fly all the way to the Hudson Bay. Happens every year. You'll be just fine. You'll be pounding on the geese everyone else is in too much of a hurry to hunt. If you want to bird watch go to SD this weekend, if you want to bird kill then go to Mound.

On the way home this evening here in NE Kansas,
I saw very good numbers of light geese feeding
after a busy migration day with birds coming in
from the SE all day...There's still plenty of them
to go around for everyone...Be safe...NC

We came up from Florida for a Friday-Sunday hunt...did all days Friday and Saturday, 1/2 day on Sunday. Mainly did a lot of bird watching, but saw thousands upon thousands of birds...not many came down to play though. Final tally was 7,12, and 5.

It appears from all I heard that this has been an unusual year....we enjoyed ourselves regardless.
