I have a 2070 Xpress that currently has side console towards the back of the boat. I am wanting to move it up to right where the front deck ends. The current console is just attached to the T-rail so I believe I can unbolt and move it forward and get new steering/shifting cables. Then some extend/replace current wiring.

The main question will be if moving it up to the front about 8’ will affect handling or anything else like that? The reason for moving is for visibility and we are adding a hard sided blind for next fall.

Your shifting where the weight of the driver is so there will be some difference, but on a 2070 I doubt it will be too much to notice. You'll be fine

You should be able to compensate for the more forward weight by trimming the motor up more.:tu
