They look close but are 100 ft apart. We saw a bunch of big ones in there during duck season. 36 hour soak.

Cold water with probably lots of cover, about twenty feet? Looks like good buggin'.

Me,... I just want to figure out where to trap spot prawns while halibut fishing!

I’ve really good on the prawns out of Tenake Springs. Would be a pretty good run from Humboldt though.

50 degrees year around, this is a small piece of water. Signal crayfish. They love the cold water and are huge. I hope to have pictures in the morning. I have a long line set up with 100 traps that I set several times a year. Traps on floats get stolen on public waters. The long line setup is about 4000 feet long. I tow a boat behind my boat to hold traps. Take 3 guys to run them.

I've been told of a All Nighter of set traps at the higher elevations of the San Joaquin , which produced some 10 / 11" ers .
I've eaten a few , which took more than 2 bites to eat and were delicious !
Watchout they'll make your Big Toe swell !! :yes:l:l

That was a bust, never caught one crayfish. 18 traps and not one mudbug. Must be too early. I can't believe it. Oh well, next time.
