My First Pintail

    My blind has only taken two all season.
    I got one of those myself, but it was a disappointment as it was a hen that was 'over sprayed' in a group of Mallards.
    I suppose there would be one limit of Bull Sprig per season on average for the last 56 seasons for myself.
    Many years in California I'd get multiple limits in a season.
    Got a triple on Drakes at the edge of Cook Inlet in Alaska many years ago.
    Now I hunt E Idaho, and am lucky to get a single bird of that species in a season. Ours is Mallard country.

    I try to shoot all Mallards, just knowing I could have taken a pinnie or whatever other species is good enough for me, BUT, I am not so pure I wouldn't take a drake with a huge pin if he flaunted it in front of me...and have ;)
