Ready to go!!!!!
About 11 more dozen and you're good to go!! I've hunted over a coot spread before and we just slayed the widgeon.
I've been known to shoot coots......but only when they are flying.
I need to find a call...tic tic tic tic tic...put some on a jerk rig, you know, for realism.....
you really bought those coot decoys?
I bought 4 doz divers of different species...a doz of them were coots......they were all individual weighted, I am long lining them to reduce weight and easy set up and pick up...The spot we went to last year, a couple hundred yards away is a big diver flyway at times.....if the Mallards aren't there I can salvage the hunt with redheads cans, bluebills and ringnecks
Or running on top of the water
Technically still flying!
It's falling..... with style
They do make a thud against the boat at 0 dark thirty.
