My dad finally connected on a toad Saturday morning. The potato harvest in a neighboring pivot pushed out two of the other giants that were in the pivots he could hunt but this goofy looking guy was still around. He said he watched him for quite awhile and decided it was one he wanted to shoot. He had no regrets. He was an old warrior, with incredible body size. By far the biggest bodied elk I've ever seen. The mass on his antlers was incredible also. His main beam was over 51" and the circumference was 10" all the way up to his 4th point. My dad was thrilled with him and thinks he will make a neat mount.
