Nelson Lagoon....Alaska over the top

    I thought about that after I typed it. They said that generally it doesn't freeze on the Being Sea side of the Lagoon.

    I saw plenty of the Being Sea frozen to your face in the pics from your trip to Saint Paul.:dv

    my whole jacket was frozen from Bering Sea spray :yes I was toasty warm though :tu That Gore-Tex shell from Cabela's is the the sheeeeee!%

    I love mine. The damn thing is loud as heck, but it keeps you warm. I wear a layer of under armour, a layer of thermals, then an under armour skysweeper hoody, then a windshear sweater, followed by my Cabela's 4 in 1 Parka. I never have gotten cold.

    My shell just seems noisy. I think they have fixed the issue. It's over 5 years old. It was the original brush buster 4 in 1.

    I'm not using the same jacket. What I have isn't loud at all. It's like silent suede or whatever they are calling the stuff now days. It wasn't cheap!

    Mine was close to $300 5 years ago. Hence the reason I haven't replaced it. I don't imagine those eiders hear much over the roar of the winds and waves anyways.
