I have a 21dlx with a 75 zuke. 30 pinned with 2 people decoys abc dog. Any more, it is definitely noticeable. Upgrading back to 115 this spring.....love the boat. Buy a mouth guard with it though.

That's the only thing that turns me off of the skiff. If it was just me I wouldn't care so much but my wife and son will be in the boat also at tines

The boat had a 115, but I rolled it over

I’m no stranger to skiffs. I’d put 300hp if I could

    Ps, learn to add

Yuk, vaguely recalling this. Was it you that had it flip over docked or did you roll it running. Knew someone that flipped a 14' TDB years ago but we know why as he always rode wise open turning like a nut. All were safe that got thrown but couldn't find lab. Eventually pulled boat in to find lab has been treading water inside of fiberglass blind opening while it was up base down. Was happy to hear the dog survived. Everyone gave they guy **** about his driving before the incident and more afterwards.

if i remember correctly, i think his flipped in the slip for some reason.

the older skiffs (like pre 1997 or so) only had strakes on the outside edge, so when you turned at speed, they would lose their grip and kick out on you. they moved them in- my 1999 model had them inside and i never had an issue.

At the dock, rolled in its slip.

They may be unsinkable but they will flip

I've heard the newer dlx isn't quite as wet as the older ones

I have a 17 dlx with 50 yamaha tiller. Love the boat, very safe usually hunt three to four people with no problems. May craft is a good boat also but center console takes up to much room for hunting. Good luck with your new boat.
