image.jpeg Then I go in and edit my photo in my photostream by rotating it 90 degrees save it and then edit it again to its original orientation and save it again. When I post the photo it stay oriented correctly.

Suggestions on what I'm doing wrong or do I just have to jump through those hoops in order to post pics from my phone?

I thought I would give it a try and I merely hit "uploaded a file" and then it took me to my photos on my phone and I tapped on it and bingo. There it was. I then hit full-size.

What causes my pictures to posted on their side. I have even turned them in my file. I have tried from my home, work and phone.

So I don't have an answer for your question about pics on their sides. I had ask the same question and didn't receive an answer.

I was also happening to me when I tried posting pics directly for my iPad or iPhone photo stream.

I had used Flicker with my desk top computer but the desk top died. Flicker was impossible for me to figure out with the iPad or iPhone. As suggested here I opened a Photobucket account and figured out picture posting with Photobucket hosting the picture and like the picture above they come out right side up.
