Why? A case can be made for the old wooden style, for sure, but the U shaped metal stake is proven, and used by many other companies.

What makes you concerned? I actually may drill holes in my silo's so I can put in a metal U stake. Makes it easier to go into frozen ground compared to the wooden ones

I hope metal stakes work that well, I run 22 dz real geese . The slide hammer real geese sells makes frozen ground easy with the wooden stakes ....

I'm not a fan of the metal stakes. Just not very rugged if the ground is froze. I much prefer using the wood stakes with a ground punch for frozen ground. I've had the metal stakes loosen up over time and the decoy is sliding up and down on them. I certainly hope they continue to make the originals with the wood stakes.

I’ve broken way too many wooden stakes. I like the use of this new metal stake.

Metal stakes are the way to go, I just tapped in 5 dz divebombs last week with a dead blow hammer no problem in frozen ground .

I'm sure Real Geese has taken a big hit with the newer coroplast decoys out and their metal stake design being much more user friendly. Seems like Real Geese is just trying to add business to the hugely popular silhouette craze going on right now

I have both and prefer the metal stakes.
