I am taking a vacation in southern Georgia soon and will have the opportunity to fish behind the condo in the salt water marsh. I know nothing about this kind of fishing. It is Sea Island to be exact. Can anyone please offer advice as to what gear and setup I will need? Please be detailed and assume I know nothing, because I dont. :)

Not familiar with that area but a quick google search...looks to be a good spot. If you have access to a boat/kayak that would be awesome, I kayak fish and it's a great silent way to find fish on the flats etc.

I run Penn battles 2500/3000 and Shimano Stradics of similar size
    6 foot penn/custom rods
Braided line...I think most are around 20lb strength or so for in the sound
    Fish grips
    Pliers
    Knife

    For lures...
    spoons (I like silver)
    carolina rigs for finger mullet/zminnows
canjun popper is a fool proof fishing method...just toss on live bait or a zminnow/shrimp lure
    Bottom fishing with shrimp/finger mullet

I know where I fish in the outer banks and it's essentially shallow everwhere minus channels/holes/certain areas I know so fishing early is the best. You will want to fish outgoing/incoming tides...few hours on each end. Get a cheap cast net and practice throwing it...spend time catching finger mullet...I think live bait > lures personally
