    Just picked up an S&W 223. I hadn't really looked at the Black guns as I have an Encore in 223 that slays Yotes dead. Now I need to figure out some goodies to put on it. Scope, Bipod etc. Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Casey

    Good 3X9 scope...you don't need a 24 power scope with this rifle;
    I use a bipod shooting stickes for a rest.
    Get 2 five round clips for hunting.

    Beyaw that it up to you as to what you want.

    Get a EOTech - 557.AR223 and 3x magnifier 557.G23FTS

    Several good bipods just make sure it can swivel

    Or Aimpoint and their magnifier

    Been reading a bit too much on the negative side relating to eotech

    Suppose it depends upon the distances you plan on shooting as far as what would suit your needs.

    It depends upon what you want to shoot. Small targets require more magnification, larger targets less. Coyotes out to 300 don't require much magnification but P-dogs do.

    In the USMC we had our rifles doped to 300 yards using open sights and none of us had any issue with hitting man size targets at the 100 to 300 yard pop up course. A good quality projected dot of less than 4x would be my vote for any AR combo used for coyotes/hog/deer inside 500 yards.
