Actually I was going in another direction.

But you can add that to a long list of worms that escape from the can when you believe the creator of the universe cares about you, ducknwork and makes choices about intervening in the individual lives of human beings.

It's one thing to believe in a creator of the universe. It's a whole other level to believe in a personel creator you can influence.

Interesting, because everything I read about deism has God all over it.

Jesus intervenes on my behalf. I do have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I pray and give everything to him. I do not pretend to know all but I do know Jesus. He died for me.

Deism uses the term god and Creator as interchangeable descriptive terms
but since there are so many gods and so many differing ideas about what god is I use the term Creator since it dosn't have the baggage the term god has as used in Christianity .
Deism does claim a belief in god however that god is not a god of revealed religion but a god of first cause in the creation of universe .
Past that god has no part in the affairs of people.

I know you may think its just semantics to use both terms as a synonym
but there is a important distinction and I just wanted to make that known.
