Ended up sons first buck and had a stud slip up right after he shot.
I like the color of the bigger buck's horns.
Nice job and congrats to both of you.
Y'all will never forget that day.
I tried my best for my boy to get on the big one he couldn’t get on him I yelled three times to get him to stop but he had women on his mind finally he was about to top the ridge behind us. I had my boy stand up and prop on a tree all he could see was his head. So I let him know I couldn’t let him walk so I grabbed my rifle and all I had was a high shoulder shot. I let one fly and really didn’t know if I had got him or not because he had already topped ridge. I felt so bad I was apologizing to him and let him know that the shot wouldn’t bother the deer since they were in rut and not 10 min later his walked about 20 yards in front of us chip shot for him.
He scored 138 5/8
Good memories there.
I had to chuckle when I first glanced at the picture. Thinking Georgia and you look rather heavily dressed but I guess it’s all relative. We sat in deer stands Saturday morning and it was -9
Lol yes it get cold down south lol. It was 27 that morning wish we had some -9 temps here in north Bama so our deer would some what start chasing crazy how 80 miles makes a difference West to east our deer here don’t come in til end of Jan if we are lucky
Bet that momma was pissed that you had to outdo your boy on the day of his first buck.
Pretty damn sure we would've pretty much all caught a little crap for that one.
