Ringneck/Bluebill hybrid? I told ya'll I love the divers just as much as puddle ducks....but never seen a dos gris like this. White on end of bill....very faint white wing patch similar to ringneck.....greenish head like scaup...but crown like a ringer, etc. Just want more opinions before its gumbo...thx

Some dos gris (lesser scaup) have lighter tipped bills than others, and I'd guess that your bird's case. But there's always DNA testing...

Nice bird, mount him. I think it’s a hybrid.

My opinion ain't worth squat but to me that's an odd bill for a blackhead. Could be the angle but it also appears to have the lines of a ringneck, not quite as flared as a blackhead. Same with the crown of the head, I agree mount it that's a pretty duck.

Yeah the bill is not very broad like a broad bill. More elongated.

Yeah anytime there is thick grass I do. It's so light and comes in handy for picking up decoys, getting in tight spots, etc. Very easy to tow around on big boat.

    Something “different” about that bird.
    Handsome bird for sure.
I shot me a hybrid last week. Unique waterfowl interest me.
