I'm heading home to Toledo for Christmas and looking to get a day in the field with my dad and my dog.

    Any recommendations somewhat close by?

Brier oak pheasant club. Kevin is a great guy to deal with and always accommodates hunters. I usually end up there several times a year. Great fields and birds

There are a couple of farms near Dundee MI, just north of Toledo. And then you get a trip to Cabela's as a reward! :grvn
