Well it's that time of year again. Our group is heading up in 3 short weeks to the Hammock area. Just wodering if the harvest has started and if so how's is going. Hoping it has been some what dry for getting around and more importantly the farmers have a good and easy harvest. I know a lot can change in three weeks but getting excited like a little kid at Christmas. We're bringing up a young lad for his first trip north of the border and hoping all goes well.

Harvest is well under way around Oak Hammock, seems to be more grain fields this year. Its dry, so the farmers might be turning their fields earlier than other years. but good hunting as always should be available.

Thanks Chris. Finally was able to contact our friends in the area. They stated the same as you. Good to hear about all the grain fields. Seams like the past 10 years or so we saw a ton of canola fields. Not sure how dry is dry but hope it doesn't get to the point where they will be worrying about fires. Definitely don't want to start someone's field on fire. Good thing about being dry is if we are not granted permission to drive it sure make for some easy walk inns. Anyway thanks. We plan on visiting the centre as always to pick up a quick souvenir.

Awesome, most farmers should be okay with driving in the fields I think, but as always ask the farmer. Hope to see you around the centre at some point!
