I've done a little fishing and planning the Delta Benefit. There also is there never ending honey do list that I have to take care of before next season.

Working on my boats, avoiding the "honey do's" and getting my new pup ( 9 week old Visla) ready for dove, quail and maybe duck this season. If I'm really lucky I'll add a couple new long guns to the inventory.

    Phil,

did you talk to jeff about getting involved with NAVHDA...

Going to those training days has really helped Zoe turn into a great hunting dog... we took her on her first duck hunt this season and she blew my mind on how well she did....

the great thing about those versitile dogs is their abiliy to scent track lost birds.... unlike most labs...

she even scent tracks right off the water.... :)

    Yeah Cat,

I've got the NAVHDA "Green Book" on it's way and I'll be bringing her up when they meet each month. I have been holding off teaching her anything until I get the book, fortunately she's really well behaved for an "out of the box" pup. I got a chance to watch Zoe work out there, she looks like a great dog. Jeff seems like a nice guy, very helpful too.

Jeff is good guy and I'm sure he will help you out whenever he can Phil. Just make sure that pup becomes a great duck/quail dog. I look foward to seeing her work.:)
