Official 18lb Goose contest

    Well, a 17 pounder here in Ks last wednesday. When the pics get back I'll post them. It was huge! :)

    has anybody won this contest yet??? Im just curious. Weighed a few of my HUGE geese this year and the biggest weighed in at 16.8 lbs

    I will have a 18 pound goose by early september next season. There is a park by my house where you are not allowed to hunt and people feed them. They leave in the morning to some fields around the park. I just need to get permission for the fields. :tu

    cannot say if I ever seen a 18lb goose. I have seen some big geese come in, but the biggest ones did not fall so I cannot say I have actually seen one that big.

    Got my frist baned goose on monday.My frist banded brid ever!!!!!! I called the band in and there going to send the infromation to me in the mail. The goose itself was big I weight it and tip out at 19.5 pounds.It only took me five years to get a banded bird.Just thought I would tell everone. I really excited about it !!!!!!!!!

    Out here in California I hear of guys killin 17 18 pounders Id like to see those birds on the scale. I don't know maybe you guys kill big honks back east. I seen over 200 honks killed this year in California and the biggest one was 13.2 lbs. A 18 pounder woulden't be a honker it would be a B-52.

    Can't tell....your giving it the old outstreched arms trick.....normally used by Bass fisherman........Looks like a great goose though....How big was it????
