old squaw call... whos looking for one?

    very strange sound... sometimes I yell coo-ka loo at them and it might work or just whistle which I've seen work some too

    Brian, you have been holding out on me.:yes I figured you might have metioned what you were working on at Tuckerton. Put me down for one wouldnt mind having one, the last couple of years we have been putting a hurting on decoying Oldsquaw, always good to have another weapon in the arsenal

    Ok Nash I'm calling foul on this one........

    How the hell would you have witnessed anything of the sort between hurling over the side of a boat...........and laying in the bottom of it!!?? :flame :dv :z

    Sounds great, would love to play around and in spite of my little dig at Nash above, I have mouth called to them and had them respond. So the answer to the question is yes at times they do respond to a call.

    Thanks for the response guys. I've been playing w/this call for a few seasons now and during last season, we used it on our own hunts. As Pointblind pointed out, its a tough call to mimic. But theres no doubt the birds responded well to it. We would have birds spin around after passing up the decoys when hitting them w/the call... and some didnt:dv. But overall we were getting alot of attention from birds at distance, and from birds that were passing us up.
