Two of us shot 6 mallards and 2 blackducks this morning from 10 to 12:00. Came in for lunch and to dry out and then went back out at 3:30 to try for the last two mallards. ( almost 0 chance of any other kind of duck where we were hunting) Shot one more mallard drake at 4 and then waited for the last one. Out of no where a flock of at least 50 mallards descended upon us and really gave it up. Too many to shoot into for just one duck. Let then fly and they proceeded to make three more passes with several landing in the decoys. Ended up the day with 9 birds and some amazing memories. What a great day. Lots of shooting all around. Hope you all had a great day too.

It was -40F with the windchill today. I took the dogs for a walk this afternoon.

Nice work Mike, nothing better than a big toll of mallards. We picked up at 10, which may have been a mistake. But we were soaked at that point.
