Anyone know of a boat ramp that is free of ice?? Or may be free in next day or so?? Did some scouting on Sunday. No ramps that I could find on western shore. Thanks

Be really careful when stuff starts to open up, there is going to be some serious ices floes. I was thinking mid-week we'd be good, but I think its going to take until at least Saturday to open stuff up again. Ice is thick in a lot of places.

Ice flows that are pushed by current or by wind can flip a boat like it was a beer can.

I'm still seeing 0.75-1.5 inches of rain for Thursday night through Saturday AM.

Has anyone been to the Ramps around the Potomac? Such as Seneca, and or pennyfield. Wondering if I could get a boat out or the kayak to pennyfield? Trying to save myself the 2 hour drive thanks for the input if anyone has any

I have not been up there but with the ice that is about to break up on the Potomac this week if you have open water there this week be very aware of what is upstream of you. A kayak may be a death sentence if a floe breaks loose upriver from you.
