i have had this battery since 2006.
Back and forth from trolling motor on the fish barge. To starter on the duck sled. It finally gave up.
290.00 out the door. Batteries plus.

Anything as good out there for less money?

I too run the Optima Blue Tops in my boat, 3 of them to be exact and they are great. No issues but they sure are pricey. I think I paid $250 at Auto Zone for them though.

Try AGM batteries I use to use the blue top until these came out you get a faster charge and a longer life and its a dry battery

    Trolling motor vs starter motor.
    2 different batteries.
Best I found was 279 for the white cell.
250 for the black cell (starter).
    Group 27.
Bought a new marine/rv group 27 from Wally World
For the starter 89.00 and the blue top for the trolling motor.
Almost 400 bucks for 2 batteries. Ouch.
BUT.. I should be good for anther 10 years.

I switched to agm's. I got far more life/hours per day from them than I did my optimas.
