I am painting a 22' swan point I got from a buddy to duck boat green for a float blind. It was painted with awlgrip about 15 years ago. Its still in decent shape. What is the process for prepping the surface?? Should I be able to just sand and clean and prime and paint or do I need to remove the gelcoat/top layer prior to sanding. Thanks

Those exact steps should be all that's required if original finish is adhered good.

Yes, if the existing coating is in good shape.
