Any suggestions on where i might find a peacock/woodpecker call? All i'm finding on line are primos & haydels.

Never used one, but when MAD came out with "The Screaming Peacock" in the 90s, you could hear it echoing from every high point in Tennessee.

Never forget moving in on a bird which was answering every owl hoot from the limb. He was roosted close to the property line, and a dude on the next farm was wailing on his peacock call. Fifteen minutes of a gobble answering every hoot (real owls and mine) and ignoring the peacock. Seemed the guy tried harder and harder the more the turkey ignored him. He didn't stop until he heard my shot.

Most of us have been guilty of trying to make a turkey do what we want him to instead of letting him tell us what he wants.

Its an impossible feat for me. I have a good buddy that, I swear, can make a turkey do anything he wants it to. He could get a gobbler to cross into the median of the interstate, if he wanted.

I have a buddy that claims to be able to do the same thing...calls them in from miles away on the other side of the river while the tom is with 12 hens.

I've tried alot of stuff over the years that hasn't worked very much, or ever. No reason to stop now.
