Pheasants 2017

    I saw some Sandhills on Monday. I think some molts came in Sunday night and early monday. Buddy and I shot 30 canadas on Monday morning and about double the geese came back to the field as were in it when we scouted it Sunday. They were exceptionally decoy friendly so I think a lot of them were new.

    No but I haven't been out where I would see them much either. The cranes down here all but shutoff about five years ago now and if we get good flocks it's not till near November. Waters fairly good in my area with a few small ones gone and some pretty low but overall not bad. Wish we had canola down here can't seem to find much of it so makes dove hunting a bitch.

    As for pheasants Im not sure why they move the limits since hens are already closed so it's not like you can bank the birds.
