absolutely amazing pics gentlemen keep them comin'
I found this to be annoyingly inconvenient. I had a lot of trouble picking five. I think I took more photos in the last year that I loved then I took in the last ten years combined. I definitely wanted to post something in this post, but it wasn't easy trying to decide which ones. While I don't think that these are the best I shot from a technical standpoint, they were my favorites for tonight. I'm sure I would pick something different if we did it again tomorrow, but then that was actually mentioned wasn't it?
new orleans - one year after katrina
all hallows eve
dog & beth sighting at soccer game in lafayette, la (sorry for breaking the rules)
Wow this is pretty tough...so thought I would just pick out five different kind of subjects...
My dog Ace the last week of duck season...
From my Mother's garden...
Sunset with ducks coming in to roost....
Buffalo river elk with bugling bull...
Bluebird during the only snow we had this year. Wish we had more....
This image made me stop and think about the small town volunteers that are relied upon throughout their country. This day we got 18" of fresh snow, and this image really made me think.
Holding Back the Ice!
Sunset over the Salt!
Sun setting behind the houses at the salt's edge!
A final sunset...
I only had my camera since Christmas and Haven't had much opportunity for pictures. I have taken many, some good, some not so good. These are a brief sample.
Here are my favorites. I am almost embarrassed to post these after looking at all of your great pictures. Wow. Anyway, all these were taken with a Canon S2IS the past year on all wild animals (except Wilson).
Rooster pheasant in the spring.
Hen pheasant getting out of the wet grass.
Osprey. I don't see many of these around here.
Wilson catching a rooster that he was after underneath the tall bent over grass. He caught it just as it was starting to fly.
Best pic on the fuge ever.
