Clayton, those are outstanding, I only hope will be close to those. Thanx for posting.
The pickleweeds Clayton posted are ones that MLBob did.
There are some nice ones at The Ropes and the Tools. Just a general search on Facebook of pickleweed decoys will bring up pictures. I am curious as to their size. Look like sentinel goose decoy heads would work.
Use to be a bunch posted on workingdecoys forum.
Pictures posted by Clayton are all pickleweeds done by me. Carry a bag full of them ( usually a dozen) in the boat and also use them in corn stubble. I used palm fronds for the neck & breast on all of them
Also have done sets in remarqued antique gunning boxes for folks. Mostly puddlers (first pic), but this set was "Florida ducks" for a hunter in the Sunshine State:
Also have done them as sillhouettes:
Eh ... just throw 'em in a bag and go hunting ... LoL.
....and they work
Great "confidence " birds as well ( but I know some here don't believe in such a thing ):
Bob, What do you charge per dozen ducks/confidence decoys?
