I started running hunt tests last spring. It has been a great learning experience. one Dog is out of Andy Mill's Kennels in KY, other dog is out of Windy Ridge X Lone oaks.

    How about you?

I stopped playing dog games some time ago but The Wingman has one of those Wildrose English dogs and he is a pip
Even keeled disposition, smart and doesn't cheat or quit--good dog around people and extremely well mannered
Truly a pleasure to hunt over a dog that isn't some neurotic chucklehead---

Yeah-- I know-- owners not dogs but I'm getting old and cranky and if it ain't fun...I ain't goin-- not that mad at them anymore

Glad you got into it-- helps make the season last and there is NOTHING like seeing a well trained dog work and know you trained it

I have one out of Duck Hills Kennels, and you described him pretty well. My wife hated that dog when I got him (brought him home unannounced), but now I think she babies him more than me. I've taken him out when it was so cold there was ice hanging off him, and his balls almost froze to the dog stand. She won't let him sleep outside if it's colder than 50. :l

My brother has WildRose Dogs...........They're great dogs, but mine are just as good. I finally have time for it. I quit the corporate gig, and started my own business. Kids are out of the house, and wife understands I'm easier to live with when I spend time outdoors.

Back when we were doing the Delta stuff, I was working 80-100 hours and traveling every week,.... and coaching soccer and softball,...... and raising a family. I don't regret any of it, but I am happy to finally be able throttle back a little.

I refuse to have a lab and TWO black-and-tans in my bed. Otherwise, they'd be up there with us... She's a sucker for dogs. She almost brought home some mutt puppies from the dog groomer the other day. I told her I'd smash their head, like a yellow bird with a yellow bill.
