Red X's Swamper
What's he got?
Crap, I'll have to upload to flickr and post the links.
One (his sedge) is clearly umbrella sedge or nutsedge. You can really only tell them apart by habitat (wet vs. dry) and root nodules.
The other one looks like some crazy cross between toothcup and seedbox. Solitary, small, cup-shape whitish-pink flowers right against the stem, with a long straight stem and lanceolate leaves like a smartweed. I don't know it.
There is smartweed mixed throughout so that may be throwing you off.
See it, but it's not the same leaf shape.
It looks an awful lot like Polygonatum verticilatum (whorled solomons seal) but the flower is not quite right.
Are the pictures still not working? .......
Will the ducks it that sedge that I have growing or next year do I need to try and eleminate it?
