Good one meats.
Wellllll, it kind of started out like that, but being a gear head I took care of everything. After a year the intake gaskets went...they should have went long before, so they lasted a very long time.
It let a little bit of coolant into the oil so, it could have been a head gasket as well, so I removed the entire top end and had the heads checked for cracks and had the valves done. I also install a new water pump hoses and radiator all at the same time. The rear end made some noise, so I went to my buddys junk yard and got one for 100.00 and installed it with new brakes and it is a heavy half rear making it better as well. Installed new brakes in front along with rotors and new u-joints in the drive shaft and a new set of tires. This was over a year and a half's time. The trans was rebuilt just before I got it and had a 5 year warranty on it.
The body and interior are MINT, so it is well worth putting the money into it as most of them you see are rust from the door handles down in Mich and most likely in Indiana too....lol! It is very difficult to find a regular cab short box as well. So putting 1,500 into it in 2 years isn't bad as it will make it last a very long time now.
