I'm kind of surprised at the little numbers of Chesapeake Bay Retriever pictures on here. I just assumed where they are an American breed that there would be more of them south of the border.

Here we were for the opening of the Dec goose season in BC Canada.
and a few more pictures from another local goose hunt. Just to give you an idea of the size of the goose he's holding. The birds are resident giant Canada's and weigh anywhere from 10 - 14 lbs usually. I'm sure there are bigger and smaller but we these where the average ones we were taking.

This one was a bit big for him, but he tried...
Fox river was locking up w/ ice flows but we managed to finish a pair of drakes. Sadie's a bit tired from the cold and can hardly can keep her eyes open. I think we pushed the envelope just bit this morning.

No birds in this post, as the hunting sucked at best on the mighty Mississippi River on this hunt. However, I snapped a few profile shots of my boy. Enjoy. What a profile!!!
