Buddies and I are scheduled to hunt with an outfitter near Lake Diefenbacher in southern Saskatchewan this September. Early reports indicated very dry spring conditions and poor nesting habitat. Can anyone local give us some insight on how duck production is looking?

From the reports I got from a farmer friend is dry and hot. Still a little time to get water in the sloughs. Local duck hatch was fair. What outfitter did you choose?

dry. many of the potholes have been tilled and planted this season. not a pothole hunting season most likely.
