Is there any point in starting to scout for ducks right now.

I know there won't be any ducks, but more of finding water and areas where they may be once the fall sets in.

My initial thought is it's to early and water can dry out, and or with the monsoons water can come in.

If not now when should I start looking for places?

My dove spot is already locked up. It's been a faithful place that never disappoints. Now if I could find some waterfowl spots like my dove one, I'd be in business.

I go off my local pond near my house to decide to go scout and I will be in a couple weeks Canada's are starting to show up and I've seen some ducks flying at dusk but couldn't make them out "haven't had any ducks fly over the house in months" maybe a sign...
