Punching wads

    So Dave or anyone else, what do you use to punch out filler wads. Especially for the 20 ga. .

    Thanks Dave, so you drill the wads not punch them.

    Some punch, some drill, depends on material. Cork and cotton punch. Some felt punch. Plastic over shot discs drill. Stuff with fibers gets caught and wrapped by drilling usually.

    You have to keep the punches very sharp and they will drill through most fibrous materials, I sharpen mine on the grinder and file the inside edge down using a rat tail file. You can put that in your blog Dave...:l

    Old MacGyver BT Joe......has been around the block , twice I think ! :l:l:yes

    Shell casing , tubing , Hole punches you name it , it has been tried !

    Trial and error or nobody made what we needed, necessity you know is the mother of invention :rolleyes:
