Yes, they should. Anything else sounds an awful lot like progressives wanting the government to protect people from getting their feelings hurt.

 

The biggest argument for Uber and Lyft over taxis is the regulations that have been placed on cab companies and drivers in order to prevent them from taking advantage of travelers in unfamiliar places. Uber and Lyft just use technology to avoid those issues, altogether.
