I have two buddies that were muzzy 3 blade purist until trying the rage 2 blads 2 seasons ago. After 2-3 deer apiece they both swear they wont use anything but the rages.

Only personal experience i have seen, one by a buddy and one I personally shot. 1 pass through and one that didnt. Both Deer were dead within 30yds. Both had a blood trail that a blind man could follow...:yes

If the entry wound is big enough to fit 4 fingers in as it was with mine, I have plenty of blood to follow with only one hole.

in short... yes I am a rage 2 blade guy...:tu

Was skeptical on the rages myself - but going two for two myself and having the last one leave a blood trail that Stevie Wonder could follow - I'm a fan.

Why do you say that? I don't agree or disagree, but am just curious on your thoughts on that.

You can see the shot placement is Nowhere near the right spot and thats my fault, but the huge gaping hole is the only reason this ol'boy only went 100 yds. Say what you want but the reason he's goin on the wall in my mind is because of the Rage 2 blade i was shooting....

This is the only deer i have taken with the rage 2 blades.

quartering away and didnt get a pass through.

You may not be able to tell but that blood trail was huge, I could stick 4 fingers in the entry hole.

Combo a 4 inch hole and the deer running only 30yds and you arent going to have trouble finding it:cool:

My point I have made is in the picture..Yes it is a dead deer and you recovered it..But you got ony 10" of penatration at best you hit no major bones only ribs..Kinda poor..My wifes 38 lbs bow shooting 200 fps is getting pass throughs at 30 yards on a deer..She got a pass through on a doe at 25 yards and she hit the shoulder..

    RETRO,

Don't get me wrong, I primarily hunt with fixed blades.....

However, I did watch with my own eyes a guy shoot a doe at 62 yards and achieve total pass thru with a Rage broadhead. It was amazing!
