    This was from last Sunday

    To yesterday

Took 4 boys out for the Youth hunt yesterday. Unfortunately no birds around. We had one flock of 3 come around early but didn't want to play, but the boys had fun playing around.

Here they are going out to explore (yes, all of them fell in the water at least once while walking around in the water).

I would be right there in the same boat with you...provided I had somewhere/something to pump from. I am 100% rain fall dependant unfortunately. At this point I need a sure enough gully washer to do the kind of work I need done.

It's been crazy wet around eastern NC this fall. So much in fact that now I won't even have to hook up my pump to "top off"
impoundment, courtesy of 4.5" of rain in the last 3 days. I was kinda of hoping it would hold off so I could flood the highest part for our last split but I'm gonna go with what mother nature provided. Get'n eaten out early would be a great problem for me to have for such a new place. :yes

Dry as a popcorn fart here, season looks bleak. Will probably have to go to the river which I hate.

We're getting drenched again, says coastal areas may get as much as 4-5". Looks like these systems have been doing exactly what forecasters have said they would be doing per El Nino. But I sure didn't expect it to have started so early. Hope you guys that need it get some soon.
