I was generously gifted a few GHG canvasbacks as a bonus in another forum deal. Since the limit on cans is higher than sprig this season, thought I'd spruce 'em up and hunt 'em. They ain't gonna win any contests, but for a 100% rattle can job I thought they came out pretty good. The decoy on the end is an old Sport Plast hen mallard. Coming to open water near you!!!

Thanks for the compliments! In a recent inventory I realized my big water spread was a bit anemic. I might do up some old super mag mallards too. Again I appreciate the kind words. Means a lot coming from you guys especially some of you old salts!

Mark you're one of the saltiest old salts I know! I'll send you a pic of the head paint. Glad you like em.....You'll be hunting over them all season:cool:

I did a few dozen mallard to bluebills last year. Did 8 hens as well. All by rattle can & they turned out great and I killed my share over them.

    Strong work:tu
