I have a single reed call from a maker that is no longer in business and looking for reeds to play around with the sound a little bit. Are the reeds in all singles 0.10? I know they are different length, width and shape depending on how they are made and tuned, but just wasnt sure if the thickness was all the same. I was thinking of just buying a tuning kit from another makers, but wanted to know for sure before I ordered anything. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Generally, a single will use a .010 reed with cut downs being the exception. Those most typically use. 014.

Single reed calls use a .010.

Might be time to shelf that call seeing as it's no longer made and get a call from a company that's gonna be around for a long time.

What’s the standard on Mylar width? I see most at half inch....but I measured some in calls and it was all over the map on width?

Also...what does the color of the Mylar change? I see clear, blue, white, yellowish white...

And what’s duralar? Why is it black?
