Last month the goal was to get about a 1/2 dozen new decoys carved, textured & ready for paint. Took about a week longer than planned for ( Darn spring mowing! :yes), but applied the last of the texture and now have birds to keep me busy for a while.

The Goldeneye and the coot are obvious, but are two of those blocks Fulvous/Whistling/Black-Bellied/Tree Ducks??

Two of them are indeed Fulvous whistlers .... good eye. The coot is an old pattern given to me by the late Joe Wooster. There is a sleeper Redhead Drake, and the drop-wing preener is the hen to that pair.
Started to play with the paint on the Goldeneye hen today (a Barrows), and am pleased with progress so far:

The Whistlers are from a pattern I did 7 or 8 years ago.

It's taken me that long to get back and make some more
