I'll post pics of the green heads up when gooch get's back from shooting ducks on the Western Slope. He knows how do do all that stuff. We are going out in a couple minutes to try and end the 2nd split right. Hopefully another limit of mallards. I'll post when I get back. Talk to you guys soon!

2 guys and 2 limites of Drake Mallards. We couldn't find any other ducks to shoot. We had at least 2000 Mallards working us and landing in the decoys at the end of shooting time. We just sat back and videoed for about 20 minutes before picking up the dekes. Back to killing geese in the morning.

Gooch and I along with 3 others hunted North of Kersey today and limited out by 10:30. It was a pretty tough hunt though. There were a ton of birds, but the just didn't seem to want to commit to the decoys, so a couple times we had 35-40 yard shots. Not what we like, but sometimes you have to play by their rules! Still another great day.

Can't get a shot for love or money in Southern Colorado.
65 decoys on John Martin brought in 3 ducks in 6 hours. Lathrop, Adobe, Pueblo Res have been no better.
DOW guy says I've had the most success he has seen. Not much. A few hunters have done OK lately but far more have struggled. It's strange because a month ago I was seeing some of the best hunting I'd ever seen here.
Weatherman says it will be warm for the whole month of December. It might be time to put away the gun and try to get some of the house painted.
