That's not true. Here is your entire post:

Notice that the words "recall" and "not vouching" don't appear in that sentence.

In the future, one way you can avoid being embarrassed like this is to have some basic knowledge of the fact on a subject before posting about it.

In the future, choose not to attempt defense of terrorists, and you wouldn't have to resort to nitpicking verbiage and grammar as a divergent defense. You loved Mandela. We get it. Some of us know the truth about his dispicability. You want it to be about race. It isn't. Crawl back in your hole.

The figures are true but again that's not the whole story, the main reason the pits started to look unprofitable after the 1972 -1974 strikes was the change of government policy on power stations, the tories were not having another repeat performance revenge and control was on the agenda from this point on jim Callaghan handled the unions badly despite being labour, and t oil fired natural gas and nucular plants, implemented by the heath government initially started to have a knock on effect on coal prices which as demand /requirement droped so did the price and this artificially made the pits look unprofitable also the massive coal board investment on new machinerey and plant in the 1975 to 1980 period with government aided funds was added in to the figures to make the pits of the early 1980s look more unprofitable, the unions were alarmed by this investment and comented as such asking if this would come at the expense of jobs in 1975, they were assured no job losses would take place due to the investments, but the NUM had doubts and agreed to fight for any pit closures. This proved right long term. The government/coal boards investment would lead the way for increased coal production by the late 1980s early 1990s geared around outside investors reaping the profits off our coal and gas reserves and putting our fuel and electricity prices up to extortionate levels where they are now, fat cat management spearheaded by the likes of mcregor and others have seen the profits to the governments coffers reduce and overseas sales and resale have inflated the situation to such an extent its getting ridiculous.
The increased production was short lived and by the late 1990s things were going pear shaped promises from Richard budge even with massive public investment came to nothing and whats left of the coal industry is under uk coal a struggling consortium running hand to mouth with risk taking underpaid staff with now ancient warn out machinery in semi derelict pits. % pits in Yorkshire, more coal is comming from washing the spoil heaps at rossington than is coming out of the ground at the moment in yorkshire, its got untanable, the imorted coal is now expensive they can ask what they want now we as a nation CANT COMBAT IT, AND THE CONSUMER PICKS UP THE BILL NOT THE GOVERNMENT. so now the British public is suffering just like scargil said they would. So who was right. Its not as simple as you think figures can be manipulated to say anything but the truth eventualy comes out, and its not over yet. :)

Oh this one? You're comparing Stalin to Nelson Mandela?

That is a simple question, but not in the way you mean.

Mandela was convicted of his crimes, served his sentence, was released from prison, was ELECTED president of his counrtry, and worked to bring about change through peace for the rest of his life.

So how exactly does Stalin compare?
