Central IL is LOADED with honks
We were just saying yesterday, "I'd sure like to see a new count!". They'll probably be gone again by the next time they fly.
Still a few left in so ill ...4 dead ones this morning. Lost half our birds
Hopefully turning around!
A few fresh inches of snow here. Still coming down.
Heard some flying around when shoveling.
Rolled my first donut in a month and a half today. Big fat goose egg....
The last 40 days or so have been a streak like no other, so it was bound to happen. Having to be in the office at noon didn't help.
Never heard or saw a goose. Deathly quiet morning with enough flow ice to make me nervous.
Hope you guys did better than me today.
Ice flow not good for nothing.
Still birds around but slower the last couple days birds feeding at night. Shot a band from northern Ontario today
Sooooo... it would be kinda neat to see some pics of some southern Illinois goose spreads in action... maybe some old school blackhole spreads... maaaaybe even some southern Illinois dead geese?? We need photographic proof that the honkers actually made it to you guys this year.
Life has been good. Broke my phone a week ago or would have more
7 more Cans and 2 blues today. Almost getting tired of shooting geese!
