    It is raining again this morning in central but the big flights of snows have migrated down over the last two days. Lots of honkers also. Key this year is barley instead of peas. Still all brown ducks but plenty with a large increase in pinnies.

    Thanks for the update Hoosier. We leave Friday for Central Sask. looks to be warm weather when we arrive.

    If you can find a late harvested pea field with "hard peas" it will be golden,,, but with all this wet weather, greening barley fields,,, in swath or harvested,,, will certainly be feeding lots of birds. When we hunt snows I actually find barley preferable to peas anyways.

    Snow geese had bust year up north, not a lot of young of the year.

    No young snows in the bags. We had a dream hunt yesterday in the wind and rain. 20 snows each. 8 ducks each and some lessors

    Any Ross? Those buggers always seem to have decent hatches even in bad years.

    Yeah I know but no one really truly knows till they come down and we get a real look at them.

    So far the Ross sightings have been limited I am sure they are coming though.. they are hunt savers for sure.. Decoy like Champs!!!!
