Better hunt today. 3 of us were close to our limit of S&B and Ross. More young with this bunch.

Another outfitter took the feed we were looking at tomorrow. One consolation is that they are all hunting Snows. So we are able to get onto the fields of blacks and ducks.

Cranes still around in decent numbers in the central parts? Not leaving till the 17th. Have a couple newbies that are dieing to kill some storks but have a feeling it might be to late.

How did you guys end up making out? Man were there ever a lot of cranes there when I was there. they didn't leave until sometime around the 20-24ish. I didn't keep close track of exactly when they pulled up stakes but it was when everything started to freeze up in that little cold snap.

Snows and specs are gone now and a lot of the ducks. Most of the Canadas and ducks should soon be heading out too I would guess.

On cranes we shot an 8 man limit before sunrise the first morning. It wasn't even fair. We tried them again on the last afternoon but they headed the other direction.

I was really amazed at the numbers of cranes there and no one was hunting them, no one. I had at least 6-8 fields with 1000s of cranes using them to choose from within a 20 min drive from the camper. Probably more since I didn't cover half of that ground while scouting.
