Had a great hunt at Colusa Saturday. My buddy Jimmy aka. tahoefowler had scouted some ponds earlier in the season so was able to dial us right into the "spot". We had ducks drop in on us most of the mourning. Man, if your not in the "spot" you really are outside looking in. Most of those around us did not shoot much if any. Funny how birds get to liking a certain area.

Great hunting, real hunting... feet down, wings cupped over the decoys. I ended with four mallards, a widge and a gaddie, Jimmy had a similar bag. Some real fun shooting. Not a lot flying at first light but steady all AM. We would have had seven each but we kept working for sprig. We had a couple of close calls but we never got any pins to commit.

    Later, George

Wow, someone actually got the spot to themselves. I've gotten the spot there quite a few times, but unfortunately other people honed in and ruined it for all.
